More than 100 Rohingya arrive in Indonesia by boat
More than 100 Rohingya refugees arriving by boat from Burma arrived on the coast of Indonesia's Aceh province early Sunday, according to a non-governmental organization, Reuters reported yesterday.
Indonesian authorities have not been able to confirm the length of time 114 refugees, including 35 children, have been at sea. But some refugees need medical help, said a volunteer in Aceh.
Refugees walked into a village in Aceh and asked for help to protect them. A villager said a refugee woman could not walk.
The refugees will be handed over to the authorities. Last December, the Indonesian navy rescued a boat that sank off the coast of Indonesia, carrying more than 100 Rohingya refugees.

Nine killed in attack on military council camp in Falam Township

Hundreds of Indonesian citizens in both states visited consular stalls in the cities of Seattle and Salem on March 3-6, 2022, according to a statement from the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco, Monday.
The ball pick-up program aims to reach Indonesian citizens who need consular services but whose place of residence is far from the RI representative office or is time constrained.
The service through the consular stall of the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco includes processing of passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, legalization, visa consultations and others.
"Seeing the enthusiasm of Indonesian citizens who registered, from the start we emphasized the need for careful preparation to make it easier for our people to access consular services as much as possible while still paying attention to health protocols," said the Indonesian Consul General (Consul General) in San Francisco Prasetyo Hadi.
