67 injured as a result of the occupation’s assault on worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Quds WAFA - Dozens of worshipers were injured at dawn today, Friday, after the Israeli occupation forces attacked them in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque .

Our correspondent said that large forces of the occupation army stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque after the dawn prayer, and fired a barrage of stun grenades, tear gas and rubber-coated bullets at the worshipers, injuring about 67 of them .

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Jerusalem set up a field hospital inside Al-Aqsa, and explained that its crews dealt with more than 67 injuries, including paramedics and journalists, noting that most of the injuries were concentrated in the upper areas of the body, while twenty-seven injuries were transferred to Jerusalem hospitals .

Our correspondent indicated that the occupation forces pursued the worshipers and beat them and evacuated most of them from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, and closed all the gates leading to it, with the exception of Bab Hatta, and that a number of worshipers are still trapped in the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque .

She pointed out that the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas inside the Al-Qibli Mosque, which led to material damage and the shattering of some of its windows .

The Israeli occupation forces, on the roofs near Bab al-Silsila, deployed extensively in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, before storming its courtyards from several doors .

In the West Bank, permits that Palestinian workers hold to work inside Israel are being frozen, in addition to freezing the work of some crossings and closing a number of streets that pass through Israeli settlements.
