Former Indian captain's head was torn off by a West Indies bowler's bouncer, now the plate was removed after 60 years There was a major accident on the cricket field 60 years ago with Nari Contractor, the former captain of the Indian team.  60 years ago, there was a big accident on the cricket field with Nari Contractor , the former captain of the Indian team . Actually, during the Test match against West Indies, a dangerous bouncer of fast bowler Charlie Griffith hit the Indian batsman on the head. After which he had to be taken out of the field immediately. That dangerous bouncer from bowler Griffith hit the contractor on the back of the head, due to which he had to retire hurt. That accident was so terrible that the head surgery of the former Indian batsman was done and a plate was inserted in his head after the operation. Now after 60 years, on the suggestion of the doctors, the plate on the head of the woman contractor was now removed by operation.  The woman contractor's son Hoshdar spoke about this and said, 'The skin on the plate was disintegrating. After this the doctors advised to remove the plate. Our family was in a bit of tension which usually happens. The operation was successful and soon he will recover. He will stay in the hospital for a few more days and then after doctor's advice we will be able to take him home.  Let us tell you that this incident happened during the 1962 tour. When the bouncer of Barbados fast bowler hit him on the head. Apart from this famous incident, Nari Contractor broke her ribs during the Lord's Test match on the 1959 tour of England, but even after that she batted and scored a brilliant 81.   The former Indian captain played 31 Test matches in his career and was successful in scoring 1611 runs during this period. Contractor also scored 1 century in Test career. The last Test match of his Test career, he played against the West Indies in the year 1962, during this test match he was injured   The Caribbean captain had saved the life of the Indian cricketer by giving his blood. In the year 1961-62, the Indian team was on the tour of West Indies. During the second Test match of the series played in Kingston, Nari Contractor was hit on the head by a dangerous bouncer from West Indies fast bowler Charlie Griffit, after which her head started bleeding. She was quickly taken to the hospital, the female contractor was unconscious for 6 days after being hit on the head. He had lost a lot of blood, in such a situation, apart from the Indian players, the Caribbean captain also gave him his blood so that his life could be saved. Although the contractor did recover, but this proved to be the last Test match of his career.
