The meeting was held on Tuesday in the city of Ramstein, Germany, with the participation of the member states of the alliance and the non-member states that enjoy the status of a distinguished partner of the alliance, including Tunisia and Israel. The party considered that Minister Mamish, who participated in the meeting alongside the Israeli minister, did not find any embarrassment in meeting the Israeli minister at the same meeting table at a time when the Free Tunisians are demonstrating in solidarity with their brothers in Palestine, calling for the criminalization of normalization, and at a time when the Palestinian people are exposed to the most heinous crimes in the world. Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza are under direct instructions and supervision from the Israeli Defense Minister, according to the text of the statement. The Workers' Party denounced Mameesh's participation in the NATO meeting and considered it "the cowardly and humiliating steps of normalization that confirm the nature of the regime in Tunisia as a non-national regime, loyal to imperialism and pacifying its Zionist protégé." He added that what happened shows what he described as "the demagogic, false nature of President Kais Saied's statements in his electoral campaign in which he considered normalization a high treason," noting that today he is openly committing this betrayal, dedicating the same behavior as the previous regime led by "Ennahda Movement". And before that, the regime of former President Ben Ali. The Workers' Party called on the progressive and patriotic forces to confront these normalization steps, which it said affect in depth the identity of the Tunisian people and their deep connection to the Palestinian cause. He also called on them to express on the ground their rejection of normalization and pressure for the issuance of a law criminalizing it and to demand that Kais Saied and his government confront the Tunisians with the real reasons behind these dangerous steps, which are nothing more than submission to the American will that interferes today in the details of the national decision, according to what was stated in the statement.
