Jordan condemns Israel's restriction of Christians' access to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher

Amman, WAFA - The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned Israel's restriction of Christians' access to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied Jerusalem, and the reduction in the number of celebrants on the occasion of the Holy Saturday .

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, said in a statement today, Sunday, that all Israeli measures aimed at restricting the right of Christians to free and unrestricted access to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to perform their religious rites, including imposing numerical restrictions on worshipers, are rejected and condemned .

He stressed that Israel, the occupying power, must respect the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites, and stop all restrictive measures against Christians in occupied Jerusalem .
