More than 200,000 worshipers perform Eid al-Fitr prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Quds WAFA - More than 200,000 worshipers performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer, at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, this Monday morning .

After the prayer ended, the worshipers listened to the Eid sermon of Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Muhammad Salim, who called for the necessity of a continuous presence in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in order to repel the suspicious and dangerous plans that the occupation seeks to impose in the mosque.

Sheikh Selim stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line, and our Palestinian people or the Islamic nation in the east and west of the earth cannot allow its desecration or prejudice to its sanctity and sanctity.

The Eid takbeer was recited in the premises of Al-Aqsa Mosque, marking the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, among large crowds of worshipers who exchanged  congratulations, and others distributed sweets at the doors of the mosque, while volunteers distributed toys to children in the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock.

Jordan and Morocco announced in separate statements that Monday was the first day of Eid, although the month of Ramadan began in the two countries a day later than the rest of the Arab countries.  Eid also falls on Monday in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Libya, Iraq and Somalia.   Thus, the number of Arab countries in which Eid al-Fitr falls on Monday has reached 21, compared to one Arab country in which Eid begins on Tuesday, which is the Comoros.  And the Dar Al-Iftaa announced, in a statement, that tomorrow, Monday, will complete the month of Ramadan (30 days), after “it has not been proven that the crescent of Shawwal in Morocco will be sighted today in all parts of the Comoros and its surroundings, and accordingly, Tuesday will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.”  Eid comes this year, in light of the lifting of measures to confront Corona in many Arab countries, other than the restrictions of the past two years.
