Spanish authorities say a number of train passengers were injured while trying to escape, as the train driver was preparing to change course due to forest fires.
Ten people were injured on Wednesday while trying to escape from a train that was passing by a wildfire area in eastern Spain.
The authorities said that a number of train passengers were injured while trying to get out of it, while the driver was asking them to wait while he was working to change its course, according to the Associated Press.
The train had been running in the Valencia region since Tuesday evening, when the driver decided to reverse course due to the bushfires.
For their part, officials said that some passengers disembarked from the train when it stopped in a rural area, including those who smashed windows to escape.
And eastern Spain is still suffering from wildfires burning since last Saturday.
A larger fire around the Val d'Ebo has forced more than 1,500 people to evacuate towns and villages since the weekend.
