Pakistan announced the recall of the US ambassador after statements made by President Joe Biden, and Biden described Pakistan as "probably one of the most dangerous countries in the world", because it possesses nuclear weapons.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday that the US ambassador to the country had been recalled after President Joe Biden said in a speech that Pakistan "may be one of the most dangerous countries in the world" because it possesses "nuclear weapons".
The minister added that he was surprised by Biden's comments and that the misunderstanding stemmed from a "lack of communication."
Bhutto Zardari said he did not believe that the decision to recall the US ambassador would negatively affect relations with the United States.
Biden made the comments Thursday at a reception for the Democratic Campaign Committee for the "US midterm elections."
During the ceremony, Biden talked about the relations of the United States with several countries, such as Russia and China, and then moved to talk about Pakistan in terms considered by the media as "the most hostile American statements against Islamabad."
Biden's comments come just two days after the 48-page US National Security Strategy document was released.

Referring to the report, Congress MP and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram has said that in the 8 years of the Narendra Modi-led central government, our score has deteriorated since 2014. He asked on Twitter, "When will the Hon'ble Prime Minister address the real issues like malnutrition, hunger and helplessness among children?"
The report, jointly prepared by Irish aid agency Concern Worldwide and German organization Welt Hunger Hilfe, described the level of hunger in India as "severe".

In the year 2021, India was ranked 101 in the list of 116 countries, but this time India has slipped six points to number 107 in the list of 121 countries. Simultaneously, India's GHI score has also fallen - from 38.8 in 2000 to 28.2 - 29.1 between 2014 and 2022.
After India's ranking fell, the government criticized the report last year, saying the method used to calculate the Global Hunger Index was unscientific.
According to the organization that released the index, Sri Lanka is at number 64, Nepal 81, Bangladesh 84 and Pakistan at number 99. Only Afghanistan is behind India in South Asia. Afghanistan is at number 109 in this index. It is worth noting that countries like Sudan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Kenya, Gambia, Namibia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Ghana, Iraq, Vietnam, Lebanon, Guyana, Ukraine and Jamaica are also far above India in this index.
