"We call on citizens to show solidarity and exchange unused medicines at flea markets to counter the shortage of medicines in the country," Reinhart added.  "The only thing that can help now is solidarity," he noted.  "We need something like neighborhood medicine flea markets," the health official concluded.  Germany is facing supply shortages for a number of medicines due to delivery issues, amid unusually high demand due to high cases of influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and coronavirus.
