A Dutch court has sentenced a fan of Eindhoven to two months in prison, after storming the pitch and punching the Sevilla goalkeeper, during the two teams' Europa League match.
The 20-year-old fan, named Delano K, was found guilty of assaulting goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic and violating a pitch ban imposed by the Dutch Football Association.
Dutch prosecutors said last month that the defendant had two previous rulings for football-related offences, and that he was under the influence of alcohol when he stormed the pitch near the end of the Feb. 23 Eindhoven-Seville match and punched Dmitrovic.
The Seville goalkeeper was not injured and clashed with the hooligan before the security men removed him from the field.
