The new price of light speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 12 to Rs 152 68 paise per liter while the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs 164 07 paise per liter after a reduction of Rs 12.  The new rates will be applicable from May 16 to May 31. Earlier, the oil industry sources had indicated the possibility of a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 17 per liter across the country from May 16. According to Jang newspaper, the oil industry sources indicated the possibility of a decrease of Rs 27 in the price of diesel . Oil industry sources said that the price of petrol will decrease due to the falling price in the global market . While the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) also suggested the government to reduce the prices of petroleum products.
