The Chinese company SANY Renewable Energy has assembled and deployed the first wind turbine in the Tibet region, as part of the realization of the "Kumai" project, with a capacity of 50.6 megawatts.
The company plans to deploy there 7 SI-16036 wind turbines that are specially manufactured to operate in harsh weather conditions.
These turbines display excellent adaptability to local mountain conditions, ultraviolet protection, lightning resistance, low temperature and snow resistance.
