Steps to prevent dehydration, continued Hazmy, all athletes have been advised to eat heavily for a maximum of two hours before competing.
Apart from that, the need for vegetables is also a concern of the Indonesian NPC team of doctors for nutritional intake for athletes as well as preventing dehydration. Then you need at least one liter of water before practicing or competing.
"Don't let you feel thirsty during training. If that happens, this condition already shows that one percent of athletes are dehydrated," he said.
"We also prepare cold or wet towels to lower body temperature, especially from the head to the neck. This is an effective measure to prevent dehydration," Hazmy added.
Regarding the addition of supplements and vitamins to prevent dehydration, the doctor from Sukoharjo handed over the policy to each sport.
"Usually the coaches already have notes on what supplements can be consumed. The trainer team also consulted us about adding vitamins," concluded Hazmy.
The Indonesian contingent consists of 500 people and 268 of them are athletes who will compete in 12 sports, namely para-athletics, para-badminton, para-table tennis, para-swimming, weightlifting, blind judo, para-chess, sitting volleyball , cp football, boccia, wheelchair basketball and goalball.
The Indonesian NPC contingent is determined to make history with a hat trick as the overall champion or three times in a row at the 12th edition of the biggest disability sporting event in Southeast Asia.
