Germany recently provided a new batch of military aid to Ukraine. While the German Ministry of Defense received an informal proposal to deliver the TAURUS KEPD 350 long-range cruise missiles to Kiev. The German deputy and former German officer pointed out that the British Shadow missiles did not give the required effectiveness because the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses shot down 7 British missiles of this type on May 16 alone. Therefore, he proposed to the Spanish parliament to hand over the longer-range TAURUS KEPD 350 missiles to Ukraine. It is noteworthy that the TAURUS KEPD 350 is a German-Swedish winged air-to-surface missile designed to strike the rear lines of the Russian armed forces and hit targets at a long distance. Its design began in 1994, and it entered service in the German, Spanish and South Korean armies after 2004. It has a working range of 480 km, and was equipped with a small turbine engine similar to the British Storm Shadow missile engine. The flight speed of the missile ranges between Mach 0.6 and 0.95, which is approximately 1,000 km / h, and is comparable to the speed of the Storm Shadow missile. Like Storm Shadow, TAURUS can fly at a low altitude (30-50 meters) and perform maneuvers there. It was manufactured using Satells technology to hide from radars. The missile was equipped with an independent continuity navigation system, whose specifications are always modified by the GPS satellite navigation system. The missile is carried by Tornado IDS, McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, Saab JAS 39 Gripen. As for South Korea, it adapted it to the American F-15 fighter. The price of the missile is about one million dollars, roughly equivalent to the price of a British missile. Social media : Google bans a well-known application that spies on Android users Google has banned a popular app from its Google Play store and recommends that Android users delete it immediately from their devices. And “Google” says that experts discovered that the application was able to record conversations, steal messages, and even track where users were heading during the day without their permission. The app, called iRecorder - Screen Recorder, is believed to have been downloaded around 50,000 times before it was removed, which means a lot of people could be affected. The issues were discovered by ESET's security team, where the company found that the app was able to install the AhMyth RAT bug on devices. According to ESET experts, when the app was first uploaded to the Google Play Store in 2021, it was completely free and then malware was added to it at a later time. ESET experts explained: “Android users who have installed a previous version of iRecorder (prior to version 1.3.8), which lacks any malicious features, may inadvertently expose their devices to AhRat, if they later update the app either manually or automatically, even without granting permission. No more consent to app permission". AhRat is a good example of how an initially safe app can turn malicious, even after several months, spying on its users and threatening their privacy. And if you have installed the software now, now is the time to check and delete your device. The longer it is loaded on the phone, the greater the chance that you will become its next victim. It is noteworthy that AhRat is able to steal a wide range of data from infected devices, including: contacts, SMS messages, call logs, browser history, device location, and device screenshots. An attacker can also remotely take control of an infected device using malware, allowing it to perform actions such as making calls, sending text messages and surfing the web. The ESET team revealed: "As a partner of the Google App Defense Alliance, ESET identified the latest version of the application as malicious and immediately shared its findings with Google. After alerting us, the application was removed from the online store."
