Wehrlein said the weather was a big challenge in Formula E Jakarta 2023

Wehrlein revealed that hot weather was the biggest challenge he had to face when competing in ABB Formula E Jakarta 2023 at the Ancol International Circuit, Jakarta, Saturday (3/6).

Even though he recorded the fastest time and won the title, Wehrlein said he still found it difficult to adapt to the scorching hot weather in Jakarta.

"The biggest challenge is the hot weather. We drivers are people too. It's not easy to adapt a car, tires, batteries and so on to this temperature," Pascal Wehrlein told reporters on Saturday.

Even so, the German racer said that his team was able to formulate a strategy with sweet results, namely winning the first podium.

"But I think we (the team) can organize that today. Good race this afternoon, my strategy is to drink lots of water, and we will do that again tomorrow," said Pascal Wehrlein.

The 28-year-old racer is also full of confidence because he has an adequate car to face the 11th series race which will also be held at the Ancol International Circuit, Jakarta.

"I think I'm confident. We have a good car for tomorrow. I think the track always changes a little bit. Of course we have to make a little change in strategy tomorrow, fortunately we are competitive today, and hopefully tomorrow too," said Wehrlein.

Bullied with hot weather that made him uncomfortable butPascal Wehrlein became the fastest after destroying the dominance of Maserati MSG Racing driver Maximilian Guenther and won the tenth ABB Formula E title with a record time of 42 minutes 21.9 seconds.

"There are no secrets, you know in motorsports it's always about teamwork and we did that well today. We did everything perfectly today," added Wehrlein after winning the tenth series.
