The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) revealed the official list of the Saudi Al-Ittihad team participating in the Club World Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Al-Ittihad team will meet its New Zealand counterpart, Auckland City, in the match scheduled for December 12 in the first round of the Club World Cup, and if it wins, it will face the Egyptian Al-Ahly team on the 15th of the same month in the quarter-finals.

The Club World Cup regulations allow the participation of all foreigners registered on any team’s roster, regardless of their registration in the local federation of the game or not.

Al-Ittihad’s list for the Club World Cup in Jeddah 2023 witnessed the presence of all 10 professionals and was as follows:

Goalkeepers: Marcelo Grohe, Abdullah Al-Mayouf, Osama Al-Marmash.

In the defense line: Ahmed Hegazy, Louis Philby, Omar Hawsawi, Sultan Al-Farhan, Zakaria Hawsawi, Ahmed Bamasoud, Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti, Hassan Kadish.

In the midfield: Faisal Al-Ghamdi, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud, Madallah Al-Olayan, Ahmed Bamasoud, Saleh Al-Omari, Fabinho, N’Golo Kante.

It is noteworthy that Karim Benzema is currently suffering from a pelvic injury, as he has not participated in Al-Ittihad training - yet -, while the “injured” international defender Ahmed Sharahili is considered the most prominent name absent from the team in the World Cup, in addition to the exclusion of striker Haroun Kamara.
