Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt announced Friday that he will send his state's National Guard to assist Texas with border control issues along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt announced Friday that he will send his state's National Guard to assist Texas with border control issues along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“This is just common sense,” Stitt said in an interview with Fox News. “In Texas, there are 28 ports of entry, and federal law actually states that it is illegal to enter anywhere other than these entry points.”

The move comes after former President Donald Trump on Thursday called on Republican-led states to come together to combat the problem of irregular immigration along the southern border, an issue Republicans said President Joe Biden is failing to properly address.

Trump said: “We encourage all states that wish to deploy their guards in Texas to prevent the entry of illegal immigrants and return them across the border,” referring to the “invasion” of immigrants coming to the United States.

After Trump's request for help, Republican governors from 25 states (half of the 50 states) pledged their support to Texas.

“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the state of Texas in using every tool and strategy, including razor fences, to secure the border,” the Republican Governors Association said in a statement. This is in part because the Biden administration refuses to enforce immigration laws that already exist and is illegally allowing mass paroles across America for immigrants who entered our country illegally.

As Trump and his Republican conservative counterparts escalated their confrontation with the Biden administration, fears escalated of a civil war ravaging the country.

“The fact that the federal government, Biden, cut the razor wire, makes absolutely no sense,” the Oklahoma governor said. “So, yes, we have the right to defend our country against invasion.” What would you call it if you had 6 million people coming in illegally?"

Stitt had previously sent the Oklahoma National Guard to help solve irregular immigration problems in Texas.

The Virginia National Guard was also sent to Texas last year to assist with the border crisis.

Trump's call for Republican-led states to pledge allegiance to Texas came amid calls from Democratic leaders in that state demanding that the Biden administration federalize the Texas National Guard in order to prevent them from installing more barbed wire fencing, according to American media.

The Supreme Court ruled that the federal government's constitutional authority supersedes the state's authority to remove razor wire along the southern border.

The crisis worsened after the Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas over its measures to prevent immigrants from illegally entering the United States, including the use of floating river barriers and erecting barbed wire barriers.

Although the US Border Patrol was instructed to remove barbed wire, the Texas National Guard continued to install more.

“The framers of the United States Constitution made clear that in times like these, states have the right to self-defense,” the Republican Governors Association said.

Palestine calls on Peru to review its position and withdraw the citizenship of those fighting in the occupation army

Palestine called on the authorities of the State of Peru to review its position on its citizens who are fighting in the ranks of the Israeli occupation army, by revoking their citizenship, and prosecuting them for their participation in crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry attacked Peru's permission for its citizens to fight with the Israeli army in the war on Gaza.

In a statement on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry called on the authorities in Peru to “withdraw citizenship” from those participating in the “war of extermination” in the Gaza Strip.

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on its account on the “X” website, on Wednesday, the government’s regret “for the death of Yuval Lopez,” an Israeli citizen of Peruvian origin who worked as a reservist in the Israeli army.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry "strongly" denounced what was stated in Peru's statement, and considered it a violation of established norms and laws regulating relations between countries.

The Ministry considered the Peruvian government's statement an acknowledgment of "allowing its citizens" to participate in the war of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation state against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

She said that while the International Court of Justice had imposed temporary measures to oblige the Israeli army to refrain from killing any Palestinian and to refrain from causing any physical or psychological harm, the Peruvian government was expected to revoke the citizenship of Israeli soldiers who held its nationality and prosecute them, rather than glorify them.

She continued that Palestine considers these times to be pivotal in determining the actual positions of states towards humanity and their commitment to international law and international humanitarian law.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on Peru to review its positions and revoke the citizenship of those who wear the uniform of the Israeli occupation army, carry weapons against Palestinian civilians and participate in committing genocide against them, and “try them for their crimes.”

It also renewed its call on all countries to verify those who hold their nationality in the occupying state and their possible participation in these crimes, considering that the participation of any country’s nationality holders in the aggression against Gaza means that these countries participate directly in this aggression against the Palestinian people.

Yesterday, Friday, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to take measures to prevent genocide against the Palestinians and improve the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
