A fire in an oil refinery in Samara Province, central Russia

The governor of Samara Province, west-central Russia, Dmitry Azarov, announced a fire at the Syzran oil refinery in the province after it was exposed to a drone attack, and another drone was shot down that targeted the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the province.

Azarov said via Telegram: “The Syzran refinery was attacked by a drone this morning, which resulted in a fire in an oil refining unit at the refinery.”

He added: "According to preliminary data, there were no casualties among the refinery technicians and workers, and an attempt to attack the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the province was thwarted, without causing injuries or damage."
