An official Russian source said on Saturday that the Russian "Iskander" missile system destroyed two American "Patriot" systems in the town of Pokrovsky in the Donetsk People's Republic.
A source in the Russian army explained to the Russian “Novosti” agency: “An analysis of the surveillance video was conducted, and they reached the conclusion that the footage did not contain the S-300 system. As the Russian Ministry of Defense previously announced, two of the three vehicles that were destroyed were Two American Patriot air defense systems as well.
Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of the destruction of a Ukrainian S-300 air defense system in the area of the town of Pokrovskvy in Donetsk, by a strike carried out by the Russian operational tactical missile system "Iskander".
The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that the Ukrainian army lost during the past day about 975 soldiers and a large number of military equipment, including the S-300 air defense system and the MiG-29 aircraft.
