The Algerian and French presidents discuss international issues and the date of Tebboune’s visit to Paris

In a call he received from French President Emmanuel Macron, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune discussed bilateral relations and the date of his visit to Paris, expressing his concern about developments in the situation in Palestine, especially in Gaza.

The Algerian Presidency said in a statement on Monday: “The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call from his counterpart, the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, during which they touched on bilateral relations and issues of a regional and international dimension.”

The statement added: "During this call, the President expressed his deep concern about developments in the situation in occupied Palestine, especially in Gaza."

The two presidents also touched on "common economic prospects that benefit both countries, especially agriculture , energy, rare earths, and the railway industry."

The statement continued: “Finally, the two presidents agreed on the official visit that the President of the Republic will pay to France, which will take place at the end of September and the beginning of October, with its official date to be determined later.”
