Khartoum - The Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, Yasser Al-Atta, called on the UAE Ambassador to leave Sudan, denouncing his presence in the country so far.

He pointed out that the Sudanese Sovereign Council directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to file complaints against the countries that he said had committed crimes against the Sudanese nation.

This comes days after Al-Atta attacked UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, accusing him of igniting war in the country.

He said, “The UAE government seeks to seize agricultural lands, mineral resources, and the country’s ports,” adding: “Mohammed bin Zayed bought the Rapid Support Forces to implement his agenda.”

Last November, the Assistant Army Commander condemned what he considered to be interference by the UAE in the Sudanese war. He said that Abu Dhabi supports the forces led by the former Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), with weapons through African airports.
