The death toll of the Israeli occupation army rose to 597, following the killing of a sergeant in the 435th Battalion of the Givati Brigade in a clash in the southern Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation army announced the death of a sergeant in its ranks following a clash in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll since the beginning of the war to 597.

The army said, in a statement on its website, that “A sergeant in the 435th Battalion, Givati Brigade, Nissim Kahlon (21 years old), from the city of Hadera (north), was killed in a clash in the southern Gaza Strip.”

The Israeli occupation army did not reveal any circumstances surrounding the killing of the sergeant, nor the details of the clash.

Thus, the announced death toll in the army since the beginning of the war rises to 597 officers and soldiers, including 253 who were killed since the beginning of the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip on October 27 last year.
