Turkish intelligence, in cooperation with the Security Directorate in Istanbul, arrested 7 people on charges of collecting sensitive information and selling it to the Israeli Mossad.
According to an official statement: “Through a joint operation between the Turkish Intelligence Service and the Istanbul Security Directorate, 7 suspected persons were arrested, including a private investigator, who sold the information they obtained to the Israeli Mossad (a new spy network working for the Mossad).”
The official TRT channel reported: “Among the detainees suspected of selling information to the Israeli Mossad is a private investigator named Hamza Turhan Aybarak, a former government employee.”
She pointed out that "Turkish intelligence learned that the private investigator, Ayberk, was collecting information about individuals and companies in the Middle East located in Turkey and leaking it to the Mossad in exchange for money."
She explained: “The person called Aybarak formed a team that included employees in government institutions whose mission was to provide information to the Mossad.”
According to TRT, in 2019, the Israeli Mossad trained AIBRIC in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
She pointed out that the private investigator, Aybarak, was pursuing people and threatening them, in addition to leaking information to the Mossad.
The Turkish authorities recently intensified their security operations against Mossad agents in Turkey, after Israel threatened to assassinate Hamas leaders in Turkey, Qatar and Lebanon.
The head of the Turkish Presidency's Communications Department, Fakhruddin Altun, earlier warned Israel of the dire consequences of espionage activities on the territory of the Turkish Republic.
