The president of Guinea Bissau arrived in the West Bank on Monday. Umaro Sissoco Embaló met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the city of Ramallah.
Upon his arrival, President Embalo first laid a wreath at the grave of former Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
The Head of State of Guinea-Bissau is then received by his Palestinian counterpart, who gives him an update on the situation between Israel and Hamas on the Gaza side.
Mahmoud Abbas expressed his gratitude to Umaro Sissoco Embaló for Guinea-Bissau's positions at international forums in favor of the Palestinian people.
