Professor Stanislav Ionov, from the Department of Therapy at the Faculty of Medicine of the Russian Educational University, suggests that polycystic ovary syndrome may be one of the causes of lower back pain.
The professor says: “Low back pain can be caused by thinning of the discs in the spine. This pain occurs or worsens after physical activity. Low back pain may indicate polycystic ovary syndrome. This pain often appears in childbearing age, when it hardens and thickens.” The ovarian membrane, and for this reason, mature follicles (fertilized eggs) cannot exit into the abdominal cavity and fallopian tubes, that is, if the necessary measures are not taken, polycystic disease threatens infertility.”
In addition, lower back pain may indicate kidney disease.
He says: “This may be a symptom of kidney failure, which can occur with age, as well as the presence of stones in the urinary system, as when salts and stones are deposited in the kidneys, the person feels mild pain in the lower back, which develops into severe pain. Mild pain in the lower back can be caused by menstruation, as well as uterine prolapse in women who have given birth a lot.”
According to him, a person may feel something bothering him in the lower back area, due to adhesions that occur after surgery or during inflammation of the pelvic organs.
He says: “When feeling lower back pain, you can take antispasmodics - medications that relieve muscle spasms. It is not recommended to massage the site of the pain if it becomes severe, because only a specialist doctor can determine the cause of the pain based on tests and objective studies. Also, some organ diseases The pelvis requires rapid surgical intervention, so it is necessary to immediately understand the causes of the pain and treat the disease, not its symptoms.”
