Dr. Alexander Myasnikov provides important advice for providing first aid in the event of a myocardial infarction, and stresses the need to act quickly and effectively to save the life of the injured person.

According to him, myocardial infarction is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical intervention. Pain in myocardial infarction can be typical, i.e. chest pain radiating to the left arm, neck and jaw. Or atypical (in other parts of the body). If a person has risk factors, immediate medical attention should be sought.

Requesting immediate medical assistance includes:

- Call an ambulance immediately because providing medical care within 120 minutes after the appearance of symptoms prevents the development of the infection or at least reduces its severity.

- Giving the injured person an aspirin pill to prevent blood clots.

- Place a nitroglycerin tablet under the injured person's tongue to avoid loss of consciousness and relieve pain and heaviness on the heart.

- Place the injured person in a sitting or lying position and ensure that nitroglycerin relieves the symptoms.
- Do not try to diagnose the causes of symptoms and leave the matter to the doctor.
