The Euro 2024 tournament, which will be held in Germany, will begin on June 14, amid speculation about the team closest to winning the title that Italy won in the last edition.
Opta simulated the tournament a huge number of times, up to 10,000 times, to determine the most likely team to win the title in the end.
A supercomputer chose the England team to win the Euro by 19.9%, while the percentage of the team qualifying for the quarter-finals was 70%, reaching the semi-finals was 48.2%, and reaching the final was 31.1%.
As for France, it was the closest candidate to snatch the title after the Three Lions, as its chance was 19.1%, and its probability of reaching the final reached 30.4%.
Speaking of the host Germany and the fans, the Germans have a 12.4% chance of winning the tournament according to the simulation process, while Italy, the defending champion, is limited to only 11.4% of reaching the final, and 5% of winning the tournament again.
