The high-speed railway, which will be 205 kilometers long, will pass through the city of Kolomna. The speed of trains will reach 400 kilometers per hour. In order to operate high-speed railways of this type, it is necessary to launch 9 modern high-speed trains.

According to expectations, the annual passenger flow from Moscow to Ryazan back and forth will increase by 4 times, compared to what it is now, and will reach 1.3 million passengers annually.
It is noteworthy that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the time has come to establish fast railways in Russia, including the fast railway between Moscow and Petersburg, which is scheduled to be built by 2027, and issued a presidential decree stipulating that an amount of 300 billion rubles be allocated for this purpose in 2025. .
