The Chairman of the Military Council said to always be vigilant for Yangon's security

General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the Military Council, said on June 10 that there is a plan to carry out attacks in Yangon Region, so that security should always be on the alert.

He said this at the Yangon regional stability and development meeting held yesterday.

A Yangon Region People's Defense Force (PDF) official told RFA that they will continue to attack military targets in Yangon.

“They will do what they think they can do. I think you can do it, and I will continue to do it to the best of my ability."

During last March and April, Yangon Region, Hello, Insein Military bases and security gates were bombed in Tan Tay and Kon Khong Kone townships.

The Chairman of the Military Council said on June 10 that about half of the country's population still has weaknesses related to security, and crimes still occur.

After the coup, there have been frequent attacks targeting military council troops and relevant offices in townships in Yangon, and Yangon residents said that the military council has tightened security.
