Russian physician Sergey Agapkin said that foods have an important impact on health, and some of them contribute to improving immunity and prolonging life.
In a medical program on the "Russia" TV channel, the doctor said: "Many nutrition experts point to the benefits of apricots. Its fruits contain substances that are beneficial to health, skin, heart and intestines, and they also help in prolonging life."
“Apricot porridge made from dried or fresh fruits is one of the national dishes of Dagestan, and perhaps one of the reasons for the longevity of the inhabitants of the Caucasus regions. The doctor noted that the beneficial substances for the body are also found in apricot seeds, and the people of Dagestan grind these seeds and add them to apricot porridge to obtain double the benefit.
Many health experts also point out that apricots contain natural organic pigments, such as carotenoids, flavonoids, and phenols, which support the body's immune system and protect against some types of cancer.
