BKSAP DPR meets EU Parliament to push for acceleration of IEU-CEPA

Jakarta - The Indonesian House of Representatives' Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) met with the European Union Parliament to discuss the acceleration of the Indonesian-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA).

During the visit, Deputy Chairman of BKSAP Ravindra Airlangga said that representatives of the DPR and the European Union International Trade Committee agreed to encourage the acceleration of the IEU-CEPA.

Currently, the IEU-CEPA negotiations have reached 80 percent progress in agreeing on the text of the agreement.

"If this agreement is completed, the potential increase in trade value between Indonesia and the European Union is estimated to reach 2 billion US dollars," said Ravindra in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
