DPR Plenary Session Approves Acceptance of Patrol Boat Grant from Japan





Jakarta- The 13th Plenary Meeting of the Indonesian House of Representatives for Session Period II of the 2024–2025 Session Year at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, approved the report of Commission I of the DPR on the results of the approval of the acceptance of a grant of defense and security equipment in the form of two patrol boats from Japan.

"Can the report of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives on the results of the approval of the acceptance of defense and security equipment grants from abroad be approved?" said Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Adies Kadir as the meeting leader, which was answered in the affirmative by the plenary meeting participants.

The two patrol ships are planned to be used by the Indonesian Navy to strengthen security in the country's waters.

The two ships are each equipped with two marine diesel engines (high-speed, water-cooled), with navigation equipment, such as radar, satellite navigation system, GPS plotter, and compass.
