Jakarta - Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany hopes Harry Kane will be fit to face Celtic in the second leg of the Champions League playoff at the Allianz Arena this morning at 03.00 WIB, after the England striker missed training for the competition.
German media reported that Kane suffered the injury during the 0-0 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday (15/2).
"We only have a little time to recover and sometimes you need an extra day," Kompany was quoted as saying by AFP on Tuesday.
"Tomorrow we will see how he feels, but I assume nothing too bad, we just have a little bit of time to freshen up and recover," he added.
Against Leverkusen, Kane required treatment before half-time after his head hit Piero Hincapie's shoulder.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers believes Bayern's strength is not reduced just because Kane is absent.
