Jakarta - A nutritionist shares tips on foods that naturally help us feel full longer and slow down digestion.
Quoted from Medical Daily, Tuesday (!2/2), Houston nutritionist Luisana Carrero regularly shares simple and sustainable nutrition and exercise tips on her Instagram account, which help people transform their bodies.
In her latest post, she discusses eight high-quality foods that naturally increase satiety, balance blood sugar, reduce cravings, and help facilitate fat burning.
"Include these foods into your diet to control hunger, stay full longer, and burn fat," he said.
The following are foods that should be consumed:
Greek Yogurt:
Carrero suggests that the combination of protein and probiotics makes Greek yogurt a top choice. It helps cut calories while supporting gut health, and adding berries and nuts creates a delicious, balanced snack.
Scientific evidence also supports the benefits of Greek yogurt for weight loss. Research shows that yogurt consumption is inversely related to the incidence of being overweight or obese. A 2014 study evaluating 8,516 participants found that those who consumed more than 7 servings of yogurt per week were less likely to be obese than those who consumed 2 servings or less.
Sweet potato:
As a slow-digesting and nutrient-rich carbohydrate, sweet potatoes help increase feelings of fullness. Also read: Post-stroke patients are advised to adopt the DASH diet
"Bake at 400°F for 30-45 minutes and pair with your favorite protein," says Carrero.
Berries:
With their low glycemic impact and low calorie content, berries are a great food choice. They turn a boring meal into a tasty snack and can be eaten fresh or added to foods like yogurt and oatmeal.
Avocado:
Another delicious addition to salads and toast, avocados offer a combination of healthy fats and fiber that help regulate appetite hormones.
In addition to supporting weight loss, this nutrient-rich fruit, which is packed with vitamins and antioxidants, promotes overall health.
