Jakarta - The All Indonesia Football Association has not been able to confirm whether Indra Sjafri will be the coach of the Indonesian national football team for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, two days after the 62-year-old man was released as coach of the Indonesian U-20 national team for failing to lead Garuda Nusantara to the 2025 U-20 World Cup.
"The SEA Games is a multi-event, which is fully funded by the government. So I see the steps we proposed yesterday, we must do it," said PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir at a press conference at the Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday.
"Indeed, that is part of us being professional, there is an evaluation. And of course we will see whether the government will also review whether to send a football team, or whether there are other policies, we will hear from the government," he added.
