San Francisco - Elon Musk's Platform X was inaccessible on Monday (10/3) morning local time for thousands of users, including many users in the United States .
After about eight hours of outages, Musk revealed that the platform was facing a “massive cyberattack.”
"There is a massive cyberattack on X. We are attacked every day, but this is done with enormous resources," he wrote on X.
According to Downdetector, a website that tracks user reports of online outages, some X users experienced outages around 5:30 a.m. Eastern Time, with more than 20,000 users reporting outages.
While the outage appeared to be resolved after about an hour, it returned around 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time, with more than 40,000 users reporting problems.
