Jakarta - Tangerang Hawks coach Antonius Joko Endratmo said the narrow 95-99 defeat against Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta at Britama Arena, North Jakarta, Wednesday, was good capital for his team which will face Bima Perkasa Jogja on Friday (7/3) at 19.30 WIB at the Pancasila UGM Sports Hall.
"Today is a good capital for us. Even though we lost, this is a good capital for us. We have to be consistent against Bima. I want us to play like today," said Joko at a press conference after the match at Britama Arena, Wednesday.
When defeated by Satria Muda, Joko saw his team playing well. They scored 27 points in the final quarter to chase their sixth win.
The Hawks led 93-91 with two seconds left, but the win was quickly dashed when Abraham Grahita scored two points to tie the game at 93-93 and send the game into overtime.
"It's a tight schedule. We play at night. Tomorrow we have to leave for the airport very early in the morning to go to Jogja," said Joko.
Currently, Bima Perkasa is languishing at the bottom of the standings after they only managed one win out of nine matches. Talking about his target against Bima Perkasa, Joko said his team must win. "We have to win against Bima Perkasa," he said.
On the same occasion, Joko also asked his local players to "step up", after in this match, none of his local players scored more than five points.
