House Member: Electronic land certificates in vulnerable areas a priority

Jakarta - Member of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives Rahmat Saleh said that electronic land certificates in disaster-prone areas are a priority to be realized.

Therefore, Rahmat asked the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency to accelerate the electronic certification.

"The vulnerability of this disaster is certainly a serious concern for all of us. In addition to the loss of life and damage to infrastructure, no less important and must not be overlooked is the status of land ownership," said Rahmat in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/3) evening.

He said that this was necessary because Indonesia is geographically a country with a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters.

Rahmat made the statement referring to the 2022 World Risk Index data which recorded Indonesia as the second country in the world with the highest disaster risk.
