Jakarta - Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi emphasized the importance of vigilance so that the fire in the train carriage that occurred at Tugu Station in Yogyakarta does not happen again, especially during the 2025/1446 H Eid al-Fitr transportation period.
In the 2025 Eid Transportation Preparation Coordination Meeting with cross-ministerial/institutional, association and transportation companies in Jakarta, Friday, the Minister of Transportation emphasized to all his staff to be aware of anything that could be dangerous, even if it is small or considered trivial.
While showing a picture of a train carriage fire at Tugu Station, Yogyakarta to meeting participants, the Minister of Transportation emphasized the importance of creating safe transportation.
"We hope that such things do not happen, that is why I am very concerned that we pay attention to small things, trivial things so that it does not happen like what you saw on the screen," said the Minister of Transportation while showing a picture of a train carriage fire at Tugu Station.
The Minister of Transportation also admitted that his party had gathered various ministries/institutions and transportation companies to be aware of unwanted things in order to create safe Eid transportation.
"Actually, one of the things that prompted me to invite you all, during our visit to Yogyakarta a few days ago, was a fire in a train carriage at Tugu Station in Yogyakarta," he said.
