Jakarta - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk provided assistance to 4,444 orphans in the context of the momentum of Ramadhan as well as the company's 4th anniversary at the beginning of this year.
"One of the ways we celebrate this milad is not only internal, but also a big event for orphans. This is an effort and desire that BSI does to share with orphans," said BSI President Director Hery Gunardi during a press conference in Jakarta, Friday.
The number of orphans receiving assistance in 2025 increased by 33.3 percent or 1,111 people from last year's 3,333 children.
Of the 4,444 orphans receiving assistance, 1,644 people came from the Jabodetabek area, while the remaining 2,800 orphans were spread across 8 BSI work areas throughout Indonesia.
The number of foundations that received assistance in the Jabodetabek area was 35, an increase from last year's 32 foundations.
