Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the distribution of the 2025 food security budget is IDR 155.5 trillion.
This value is a provisional figure and is higher than last year's figure of IDR 114.3 trillion.
"The allocation of the food security budget to encourage agricultural and fisheries productivity, support the food supply chain, ensure food availability for the community, and increase the exchange rate for farmers and fishermen," said Sri Mulyani on Instagram @smindrawati in Jakarta, Friday.
In detail, the allocation of food security from the production side is used for fertilizer subsidies of 9.5 million tons, rice field printing (extensification) of 225 thousand hectares, intensification of 80 thousand hectares, and pre-harvest agricultural tools and machinery (alsintan) of 77.4 thousand units.
In terms of food distribution and reserves, the budget is used for 102 kilometers of agricultural roads, construction/improvement of facilities and infrastructure in 63 fishing ports, the Red and White Village cooperative, Government Food Reserves (CPP), and strengthening food business entities.
Meanwhile, from the consumption side, the budget is used for food aid, basic food aid, Cheap Markets (GPM), and Food Supply and Price Stability (SPHP).
"Hopefully with this effort we can realize food self-sufficiency and improve the welfare of farmers and fishermen simultaneously," said Sri Mulyani.
