A Chinese company plans to develop satellites for the Internet of Things

SpaceNews reported that Chinese startup Bluelink Satcom plans to develop satellites used to provide Internet of Things services.

The newspaper reported: "Bluelink Satcom, a Chinese company that produces Bluetooth-enabled satellites, has raised tens of millions of yuan (several million dollars) to fund its projects, which will include developing satellites to provide Internet of Things (IoT) services to the Earth."

The company claims its technology will be a cost-effective solution for low-speed broadband connectivity to the Internet of Things. The Bluelink Satcom satellites will be equipped with a payload with extremely high sensitivity to weak Bluetooth signals that travel through the atmosphere, according to the post.

According to available information, Bluelink Satcom plans to launch 72 satellites by the end of 2028, with the first four satellites scheduled to launch in 2025.

The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the new generation of the internet that enables communication between interconnected devices. These devices include gadgets, sensors, sensors, various artificial intelligence tools, and more. What distinguishes IoT technology is that it allows people to be free from their place, meaning they can control devices without having to be in a specific location to interact with a particular device.
