Bangkalan District Government Encourages Farmers to Process Agricultural Products Independently

Bangkalan - The Bangkalan Regency Government, East Java, is encouraging farmers in the region to process agricultural products independently, so that it will improve the community's economy in the agricultural sector.

"So far, the processing sector still relies on other regions. The paddy we produce is sold abroad, then we buy the rice back. If farmers can process it themselves, this will open up wider business opportunities and improve the economic welfare of the farming community," said Bangkalan Regent Lukman Hakim in Bangkalan, East Java, Tuesday.

If all the processing of agricultural products is carried out directly by farmers, or at least carried out in Bangkalan Regency, he is sure that the economy in the agricultural sector will be better.

Therefore, Lukman continued, in the future the Bangkalan Regency Government needs to provide supporting facilities, so that agricultural product processing can be carried out in Bangkalan Regency.

To support this, the party will try to facilitate the development of the production sector through the gradual procurement of agricultural equipment.

"This is a real form of our commitment to continue advancing the agricultural sector in Bangkalan," he said.
