Member of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Putra Nababan, praised the efforts made by the Bali Provincial Government in protecting the tourism sector and the local environment by implementing a ban on producing single-use plastic bottled drinking water (AMDK).
"This is not the first time that Bali Governor Wayan Koster has imposed restrictions on the use of plastic. Mr. Koster has been doing it for the past five years and has done it gradually by considering the preservation of the natural ecosystem, humans and culture based on local wisdom values," said Putra Nababan.
Putra said that in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Governor of Bali number 09 of 2025 concerning the Bali Clean Waste Movement, the government prohibits every business institution from producing single-use plastic bottled drinking water with a volume of less than 1 liter in the Bali region.
