Government makes EU regulations a reference for digital governance.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria said that the government is using European Union regulations as a reference in preparing digital governance.

As quoted in the ministry's press release in Jakarta, Monday, he said that the European Union's regulations on digital services and markets, including those related to artificial intelligence ( AI ) , have been used as a reference by many countries.

"We think the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA) are one of the best frameworks. Of course, we need to adapt them at some point...," he said, referring to the European Union's regulations on digital services and digital markets.

"One of the most important things when we talk about digital transformation for this country, besides artificial intelligence, is also how to manage the platform. Cybersecurity is one thing that we need to learn as well in platform regulation," he explained.
