Jakarta - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon said that Indonesia and Türkiye agreed to build collaboration in the cultural sector including joint film production.
"We agreed to build collaborative efforts in the field of culture to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, including joint film production about the Ottoman Empire and the Aceh Sultanate, joint painting exhibitions and the construction of an Indonesian cultural house in Turkey," said the Minister of Culture in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday.
Fadli, who accompanied President Prabowo on a state visit to the Republic of Turkey and met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, added that the two countries, which have very large Muslim populations, also have many opportunities to work together in the field of intangible cultural heritage such as the Fitra tradition, calligraphy, and majlis, which can be encouraged to be included in UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.
