The Indonesian women's national futsal team has a high target when competing in the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship, namely to become champions and secure a ticket to the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup.
Quoted from a release received by ANTARA from FFI, Thursday, the Indonesian Women's National Futsal Team was released by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat together with the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI) Michael Victor Sianipar at the Kemenpora office, Jakarta.
In his speech, Michael conveyed the importance of bringing honor to Indonesia's name, maintaining physical and mental condition, and team cohesion, and hoped that the national team would be able to perform optimally and exceed the targets set.
"This tournament is not just about qualifying. This is a momentum to measure readiness and challenge limits. From here we can see how far we are prepared to face a number of other big events," said Michael.
Michael also emphasized that the Ministry of Youth and Sports, PSSI and FFI will continue to provide full support to the women's national futsal team. Since AFF 2024 to the 2025 international agenda, the national training center financing is fully supported by the APBN.
Meanwhile, the captain of the Indonesian Women's National Futsal Team, Novita Murni, said that the farewell event provided her team with a special spirit before taking part in the tournament.
