Moscow: Kyiv violated the agreement to stop targeting energy infrastructure more than 60 times

Alexei Polishchuk, head of the CIS department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, noted that Kyiv has violated the US-brokered agreement to halt attacks on energy infrastructure more than 60 times since it was announced on March 18.

"The Kyiv regime is maliciously violating the 30-day ceasefire agreement announced on March 18 by Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, and adhered to by Volodymyr Zelensky," he told RIA Novosti.

"Since this agreement was reached, the Ukrainian side has violated it more than 60 times," Polishchuk added.

He pointed out that attempts to attack Russian energy facilities occur daily and several times a day.

Last March, Presidents Putin and Trump held a "historic" two-and-a-half-hour phone call, which they dedicated to dotting the i's and crossing the t's on ways to end the Ukraine crisis.

Following the call, the Kremlin announced that President Putin had accepted a proposal to halt the bombing of Ukrainian energy sites and infrastructure for 30 days and exchange 175 prisoners for 175, paving the way for deeper negotiations.

The Kyiv regime also pledged not to target civilian areas in Russia for 30 days, while the surrender of its forces besieged on the outskirts of Kursk Oblast remains pending, following a deadline set by President Putin.

Kyiv's forces continue to target Russian energy infrastructure, and the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that Zelensky's public pledges to halt attacks are merely a ruse aimed at preventing the complete collapse of Ukrainian forces on the front lines.
