The Hamas Prisoners' Media Office reported on its Telegram channel that "a number of prisoners released from occupation prisons have arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip."
The office published the names of ten of the released prisoners, most of whom were elderly. It also published a photo of one of them, noting that he was "unable to move and bore clear signs of torture."
Local sources, who requested anonymity, said that "approximately 80 Palestinian prisoners from various areas of the Gaza Strip entered the Strip this morning through the Kissufim Gate in the separation fence east of Khan Yunis (south)."
For its part, medical sources reported that 10 released prisoners arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah (central Gaza Strip) in "dire physical condition as a result of the torture and harsh conditions they endured in occupation prisons."
The sources explained that medical teams are conducting the necessary tests on the prisoners, awaiting the arrival of their families. They noted that one of them "arrived in extremely critical condition, unable to move, and bearing clear signs of torture."
The occupation forces previously released hundreds of prisoners they had arrested in the Gaza Strip as part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, which went into effect on January 19.
On March 18, Israel reneged on the 58-day ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement and resumed its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
