Media reports indicate that experts in the United States are developing unique drones capable of operating with artificial intelligence technologies.
What distinguishes the new American V-BAT drones most is their unique design, which enables them to take off and land vertically from any surface no larger than a few meters. These drones take off vertically like space rockets and then soar like airplanes.
Available information indicates that the V-BAT is now capable of flying for more than 13 hours per mission. It also runs on ship-grade fuel, making it suitable for use as a dedicated drone for naval and coast guard forces. Therefore, it has been adopted by the US Marine Corps, and Japan has selected it as its primary reconnaissance aircraft for ships.
What's also significant about these drones is that they've been equipped with Shield AI's Hivemind artificial intelligence system, which gives them the ability to navigate and make decisions without human assistance, even if contact with the operator is lost. They can also be equipped with night-vision and thermal cameras for reconnaissance, electronic warfare systems, and radars that enable them to detect objects on the ground in various weather conditions, making them versatile drones.
